Description: This project is from the Halifax chapter in the Atlantic Region. Our client needed a portable ramp to get into the bed of their truck with their power wheelchair. Our intelligent and creative volunteers built a sturdy yet portable ramp supported by commercially available steel ramps for vehicles. The wooden ramp is 3 ft wide and has 1-1/2-inch wooden barriers at the edges over its whole length. It also has a non-slip surface of fine sand embedded in acrylic deck paint.
