Description: This project is from our Metro Toronto chapter in the Central Region. Our clients for this project are a single mom and her child who has severe disabilities. Previously, this family had a ceiling track and sling installed in their bathroom to assist the mother in safely lifting her child in and out of the bathtub. Unfortunately, their traditional shower curtain was in the way, and any commercially available solutions were prohibitively expensive. Our ingenious volunteer used a TV wall mount bracket with a new shower rod to ensure it would be sturdy and the shower curtain could easily swing in and out without interfering with the ceiling track.
