Tetra was contacted by the parents of a 16 year-old with cerebral palsy, who had limited hand function to hold his cell phone. Our remarkable Calgary chapter volunteer, Bill Caswell designed a simple and practical phone holder customized to the needs of the client.
Bill constructed the phone holder from a coat hanger wire to create the holster for the phone. There was a bit of welding involved to hold the device together. It’s attached to a quarter-inch diameter rod bent into shape to fit into the side of our client’s wheelchair. The client was very enthusiastic about the device and is now always connected with his parents and friends.
