Description: This project is from our Ottawa chapter in the Central Region. Our client for this project is a young child with a disability affecting his back and legs. CHEO and Tetra worked together to create a suitable chair to accommodate his needs. The brilliant volunteer made a highly adjustable chair that would accommodate and hold a padded support sling seat developed by CHEO. It has a custom frame with height adjustment for future growth, a tray with height, tilt, and quick-release options, hooks at the side and back to hold the sling seat, and an adjustable head support. With everything in place, the child can now be seated and supported properly to see the world and engage in ways that were not possible before.
